{"id":5925,"date":"2025-05-22T14:27:55","date_gmt":"2025-05-22T18:27:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rclalq.qc.ca\/campagne\/rent-control\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T09:47:55","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T14:47:55","slug":"rent-control","status":"publish","type":"campagne","link":"https:\/\/rclalq.qc.ca\/en\/campaign\/rent-control\/","title":{"rendered":"Rent control"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A change in regulation that fixes nothing<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">After the historic rent increases last January, ministers Duranceau and B\u00e9langer had the audacity to propose a &#8220;reform&#8221; of rent criteria that offers even more gifts to landlords!<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The RCLALQ&#8217;s response to the proposed regulations<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our petition, submitted october 7th, 2025<\/h3>\n\n<p>To denounce the draft regulation amending the criteria for rent increases, published on April 16, 2025, we called for mobilization and launched a petition. The RCLALQ is proud to have <a href=\"https:\/\/rclalq.qc.ca\/2025\/10\/pres-de-15-000-personnes-demandent-le-gel-immediat-des-loyers-au-quebec\/\">submitted a petition with nearly 15 000 signatures<\/a> to the National assembly of Qu\u00e9bec. We demand that the government and a parliamentary committee examine its content and take the necessary actions.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our analysis (in French only)<\/h3>\n\n<p>\u00c0 la suite de la proposition de modification du R\u00e8glement sur les crit\u00e8res de fixation de loyer publi\u00e9 le 16 avril 2025 par la ministre de l&#8217;Habitation, le RCLALQ avec l&#8217;aide du CLLL et du CLAQO, a r\u00e9dig\u00e9 une r\u00e9ponse formelle sous la forme d\u2019un m\u00e9moire, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 envoy\u00e9 au minist\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n<p>Le 3 septembre 2025, une deuxi\u00e8me proposition de modification du R\u00e8glement sur les crit\u00e8res de fixation de loyer a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9, rempla\u00e7ant celle du 16 avril 2025. Les deux projets de r\u00e8glement sont tr\u00e8s similaires et nos demandes demeurent les m\u00eames.
